In my household I define groceries as only things we consume (All food & drinks), anything else would be in my 'Household Expenses' category. Good for you to start this financial journey. I am a bit older than you and your husband, but we have found having and sticking to a budget really helps us stay on track. Loved the vlog, thank you for sharing with us!

Oh, I'm so glad to see your vlog today!! Everyone is growing up!!!! I am doing Dave Ramsey, too!!! You can set up whatever categories however you want. But for me. I made groceries, only edibles! Other categories are household items such as batteries, toilet paper, and Papertowels. The easiest way is to set rules to identify categories. So, for groceries, the rule is, if it's edible, it is grocery. If it's not edible, where is the item used? Indoor or outdoor? If indoor, it's household, etc. If indoor, is it personal or for everyone, such as tissues, that would be everyone. Etc. I hope this helps. And if you just can't figure it out, make a misc category. I'll be praying for you❤

Yes to grocery hauls ; would like to see what you bought and recipe ideas for your haul. Re budgeting . My opinion only, but as long as you have a category that includes whatever you might purchase. I think it’s up to you what categories fit your life. I used to have a category for gifts/toys/kids. Clothing for family was a separate category as was cleaning supplies/household. Good luck!

Food haul and cooking is what I love watching as well as your interactions with the children .
I would say that only food is groceries. There should a household category- for repairs, replacements. Also a category for clothing. I would think that toys and books would be in its own category and if not- I don't know his categories- whatever makes the most sense- just not in foods even if bought at Costco. So it's ok to spend more than your allotted $400 at costco if some things are from a diff category. I watch his TicToc/reels and like what he says except for using a credit card. For many of us, we get travel points on those cards and we pay them off as they come in. u shouldn't be forced to use a debit card. I just think that too many people are using their credit cards as a bank loan. Over the years we have had 2 free flights- aside from taxes- to fly return to Europe and will be doing that a third time next year. I love your vlogs and am so glad u r getting more and more subscribers all the time. This will be a great 2nd income!!!!!

Groceries is food. Baby stuff is Baby, but I buy so much used. Saves money, it’s better for environment as less garbage is produced and chemicals are already washed out. So I save a lot, which goes to children’s savings😊
